We were initially reluctant to use a buyer’s advocate because of the cost involved. How wrong we were! Based on a recommendation from our banker, we sought the service of Scott. At our initial meeting, Scott proved to be knowledgeable, engaging and enthusiastic. He was able to consolidate our somewhat nebulous ideas into a clear strategic plan for us to purchase an investment property. Over several weeks, Scott looked at numerous properties (greater than 40) saving us countless hours and stress. We bought the second property that he selected for us and it met our criteria perfectly. He bid for us at auction and was spot on with his valuation. After auction, he guided us through the technicalities and legalities in reaching settlement. He has been invaluable in sourcing tradespeople to renovate the property and even recommended a property manager whom he had interviewed personally. His service has simply been extraordinary, and there was no way we would have ever considered buying another property without his involvement and expertise. In fact, just last year, Scott helped us find an apartment for one of our children to purchase. Scott’s thoroughness and attention to detail identified issues with a few of the buildings and body corporates which prevented her from purchasing apartments that on the ‘surface’ looked like an excellent choice-but would have been disastrous. It is highly doubtful we would have picked up on these details if we were depending on ourselves or the estate agent. Scott heard about the apartment our daughter ultimately purchased though his extensive network of connections before it was ever listed on market. He organised an immediate viewing and within 48 hours had negotiated a settlement. He is the consummate professional with absolute integrity-which is not always evident in the real estate market. We cannot recommend Scott highly enough and anticipate using his services when our other daughter is ready to enter the market.
